Coast Region
The Coast Region of St John Kenya has its headquarters at Tononoka. The Regional Office houses the Regional Council, regional officers as well as the regional Secretariat. The latter includes the Executive Officer for Coast, who co-ordinates the region's activities.
The Coast Region office is a new facility that has been established as a youth centre in co-operation with the Embassy of Japan. The youth centre includes a Voluntary Counseling & Testing (VCT) centre for free HIV testing and counseling services, a drug rehabilitation centre as well as training and meeting facilities for the St. John volunteers.
The region organizes and runs First Aid training services for corporate and members of the public, First Aid cover for events (both private and public) as well as ambulance services within the region. These services can be obtained by getting in touch with the Regional Office.
In addition to this, the region is also at the forefront of HIV/AIDS interventions with peer education and home-based care programmes run by St John volunteers.
