#2024WalkaThon Why Save A Life Walkathon
Funds raised from this Charity Walkathon will be utilized towards training of more community emergency responders on First Aid and Emergency response, equipping them with first aid kits and enrolling them to the robust St John Ambulance Volunteer program aimed at saving lives at the most critical time of a medical emergency within communities and at road accident black spots across Kenya.
Objectives of the Walkathon.
- To save lives at the most critical time of a casualty in danger
- To give universal access to free quality medical emergency care
- To increase number of emergency caregivers within the communities
- To reduce number of lives lost from road crashes and in high risk areas
- To have at least one trained first aider in every home
