About St John Highway Community First Aid Posts
The St John Highway First Aid Community Posts (H-FACPs), formerly known as Highway Rescue Centres, started in 2002 to address the urgent need for immediate, lifesaving first aid services on Kenya’s major highways. They were initiated due to a critical gap in providing timely medical assistance to accident victims.
The Highway First Aid Community Posts (H-FACPs) were established and sustained through a mix of funding sources. Generous contributions from individual well-wishers and corporate entities played a key role in sponsoring the setup of custom-built shipping containers, serving as the physical bases for these Centres. Monthly medical supplies and resources are also provided to ensure the continuous operation of the Centres.
