St John Charity Golf Tournament

The rising number of road deaths is becoming a serious concern in Kenya, considering that 4,432 people died in road crashes in 2022, up from 4,271 in 2021, showing a 3% increase. Most of these deaths occurred at key accident blackspots across the country.

The Limuru stretch along the busy Nairobi – Nakuru Highway is one of the notorious blackspots along the Northern corridor that has claimed lives of many people in road crashes. As a dangerous spot, St John Ambulance has made efforts by putting up a First Aid Care Centres manned by volunteer first responders residing in the area. However, the responders often lack means of transport to evacuate the injured to hospital after stabilization.

To support our response, St John has organized a Charity Golf tournament to raise KES 9.6 Million in aid of buying a Limuru-based Ambulance unit, to enable quick evacuation from accident scenes to the hospitals. The event will be held at the Limuru Country Club on Friday, 14th April 2023, from 6:30am to 10:00pm. Click here to register: Call 0707 762 627 for more details
