Nairobi Region
The Nairobi Region of St John Kenya has its headquarters at St John House right in the city centre. The Regional Office houses the Regional Council, regional officers as well as the regional Secretariat. The latter includes the Executive Officer for Nairobi, who co-ordinates the region's activities. The office also includes training and meeting facilities for volunteers.
Nairobi Region has the largest number of volunteers in St John Kenya, and provides volunteers for both regional and national activities. As such, a large part of the work of the Nairobi Region office has to do with volunteer management.
The region boasts of close to 3,000 volunteers, most of them youth under the age of 30. The volunteers are grouped in over 60 St John units (called Divisions), and undergo regular training in various subjects core to their service to humanity. St John Divisions can be found in most high schools across and around the city as well as at the Nairobi Region headquarters.
