St John Ambulance Kenya, in partnership with our German sister organization, The Johanniter, will be conducting medical camps around the nation beginning 10th of December.

Starting from Kipsarmani in Baringo, Rift Valley, the medical camps will transverse four regions, benefitting residents in Central, Eastern, Coast and Rift Valley provinces. From Baringo, the camps will head to Laikipia, then to the Coast where Taita, Kilifi and Kwale will be covered.

The last round in early January will see residents of Eastern province benefit including Kitui, Kibwezi and finally Isiolo on January 19, 2010. CLICK HERE to access the Calendar for exact dates and venues.

Apart from medical assistance that will be offered by St John doctors and nurses as well as local medical personnel, the camps will also see some food distributed, especially to the regions that have suffered a severe shortage of food in the recent past.

According to the St John Kenya Program Manager, John Mwalagho, about 10,000 people will have benefitted by the time the camps are finished.
