New centre for Coast Region

On March 30th 2009 in Nairobi, Mr Kosaku Onaka, the representative from the Japanese Embassy in Nairobi and the St John Kenya Chairman, Hon. Major Marsden Madoka, signed the grant agreement for the construction of the new centre.
The grant will develop the new centre which is expected to address challenges facing young people including drug abuse and HIV/AIDS which is rampant in the coastal town of Mombassa and in particular, the Tononoka area, where the centre will be located. The centre will be immensely beneficial to the community, organisation and its members.
