HIV/AIDS
Although ancillary to our core service of First Aid and Emergency Medical Services, the HIV/AIDS agenda has received concentrated attention within St John Kenya. This is in keeping with our belief of health service provision, as well as the need to esnure that our members, most of whom are youth, are involved in fighting this scourge.
Through partnerships with various organizations, St John Kenya has streamlined HIV/AIDS issues and integrated them into our programmes for volunteers. Our interventions include:
- Peer education
- Home base care
- Micro-enterprise
- Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT) centres
