Accident Rescue Centres
A Strategy aimed at reducing the number of deaths occurring through road crashes at black spot areas.
St John Kenya has also set up Accident Black Spot Rescue Centres along the major highways in the country. At these, St John has trained volunteers who live near these centres to provide emergency medical services to victims of road crashes Currently, these centres are operational at;
- Kyumvi
- Salgaa
- Kinungi
- Kangemi
- Makuyu
- Nithi Bridge
- Voi,
- Mtito Andei
- Sultan Hamud.
The establishment of the centres was supported financially by Safaricom Foundation and Kenya Shell/BP Ltd.
