Kenya First Aid and Safety Challenge

›St. John as one of the organizations that has for several decades provided first aid training and ambulance services to Kenyans, are set to stage Kenya Emergency Response Challenge, in Nairobi on 1st of August 2012.

›Trained First Aiders and emergency responders from various organizations will compete to provide first aid,emergency response, and test their medical treatment skills against each other to determine which company is the best.

›The competition comprises of two components; an indoor written examination and outdoor simulation.

›The most attention-grabbing will be the afternoon’s outdoor simulation, where scenarios will be presented as real life situations.

›Winners will be awarded prizes as well as free annual ambulance evacuation cover to their entire organization staff.

›The event under the theme “developing confidence to save a lives,” shall expose participants on simple ways of prevention, preparedness, and response during various disasters like fire, collapsing buildings, explosions, and many more.
