Objectives
To maintain our position as the leading service provider in health and safety.
Activities
NOTE
Did you know that there are great benefits that you will get by undertaking First Aid Training with St. John?
Research has shown that people who are trained in First Aid are usually more responsible and safety-conscious, thereby reducing the level, frequency and cost of accidents and injuries.
Besides, it has been established that prompt application of First Aid could just be all that is needed to save a life.
The laws of Kenya (Factories and Other places of Work Act, Cap 514 Legal Notice No. 160) require that in every place of work, be it an Office, Factory, Plantation, Go-Down, Supermarket, Learning Institution, etc, there shall be at least two (2) trained First Aiders for every ten (10) workers.
St. John Ambulance, the World leaders in First Aid Training has put in place a First Aid Training Campaign whose objective is to equip as many Kenyans as possible, with the much-needed knowledge and skills on how to save a life. Our desire is to make all Kenyans useful at the scene of accident or injury.
We would like you to be part of that campaign by sponsoring a number of your employees, your family or yourself to be trained in First Aid. We award internationally recognised certificates to all those who pass.
Give us an opportunity to conduct the training and help us achieve our ultimate objective… to save a life.
Why First Aid?
|
Employers’ Legal Requirement… Providing trained First Aiders in the Workplace is a Legal requirement under the Factories Act Cap 514, Laws of Kenya. Failure to comply could lead to prosecution. |
Accidents at Work cost the country more than 15 MILLION lost working hours every year.
The Medical Budget accruing
from workplace accidents and the ensuing insurance
payments run into HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS.
Recent surveys found that
majority of Kenyans DO NOT know what to do in case of
emergencies
involving human life…. they prefer to RUN…
…sometimes running into more DANGER!!
